Carbonyl Iron Powder (CIP) is formed via thermal decomposition of liquid pentacarbonyl iron and is available uncoated and coated in both hard and soft grades. Applications for carbonyl iron powder include fabrication of diamond tools, metal injection molding, powder metallurgy, radar absorption, metallic inks, and electrical components.
